Greetings all,
This is the page for my solo ambient project Cygnus Onyx Flame:

Is that live drums on ‘Strength’? That track is epic! There is so much variation in these, from full full ambience to like post rock. How do you do it live?

The drums on Strength are randomly layered drum tracks from Garage Band. Needless to say, I won't be playing those tracks live. Those tracks were recorded just to explore some concepts or ideas I was working with at the time. The project I am working on now will be far more ambient and 85% repeatable (with some room for improv) for live gigs. I'm a drummer in an Ambient/Doom(ish) band so this solo project will become more and more dark ambient focused. I have a Volca Sample and Uno Drum that I will be using live but I don't have those tracks locked down yet.

I’m loving what I’m seeing and hearing in here! This is a great thread!! And I gotta say, if you haven’t already, definitely check out Black Zinda, as Shelfblack just mentioned. Some of the best music I’ve heard in a long time! Very inspiring!! Much love to everyone here!

Welcome Spacecraft!!! Man you got some deep pads going there. ‘Signals’ was a stand out for me. That little riff and the delays pulled me in. Are you layering a bunch of synths in there, or using VSTs? I can hear a lot of different sounds in these pads.
